Indian government to buy agricultural lands

India is really keen on setting our and conquering the world.

Not only do Indian companies buy lands here in Paraguay for commercial use. Now the government event plans to purchase large tracts of land in Paraguay for agricultural use. According to the Indian government, this will help ensure that the prices of food items are stabilized. This may also be a big boost to the economies of the countries in which India will buy agricultural land from.

Young Socialist Party on the rise

A new socialist party made up of almost entirely young members is now in the rise in Paraguay. Its name is P-MAS and it is determined to bring Paraguay to socialism.

This early, however, the party has already entered the political radars of some entities here in Paraguay.

Oilseed and Soybean in Paraguay

Fernando Lugo, Paraguayan President pushes his promised agrarian reforms which is imposing a new tax on soybeans and the growing of oilseed in some area and will create areas for small scale farming.

Soybean is Paraguay's biggest export profitability of soybean, is just leading rural families to sell their land and move to the cities where they would add up to urban poor after spending what they earned for the land.

Oilseed on the other hand has more than double its production since 2000 but the profit from the grains sector didn't create the trickling-down effect so the Government have to set limits with the said farm crops

Paraguay pushes for increase in dam building cost

In South America, hydroelectricity is a major resource. It is one of the major sources of energy here. It is thus natural to have projects that are controversial and worth discussing.

One of this is a treaty about a dam built in the border of Paraguay and Brazil.

Now Paraguay is lobbying to increase Brazil's payment.

Taiwan's Unwavered Alliance

Taiwan is unwavered upon knowing the assertion made by the new Paraguayan president. Paraguayan President Fernando Lugo affirm that the country will no longer vote or support the membership of Taiwan in the United Nations.
